An online celebration to commemorate World Hindi Day was organised on 15 January 2025 at CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), Bhavnagar. In this function, Dr Raghav Prakash Sharma, Director of Parishkar Group of Colleges, Jaipur and Ex-Director of Rajasthan Hindi Academy, Rajasthan, was present as the Chief Guest and delivered a lecture on the topic “Role of Hindi in Emotional and Intellectual Development in the Global Perspective”.
Welcoming everyone, Dr Kanti Bhooshan Pandey, Principal Scientist, CSIR-CSMCRI, gave a brief introduction to the updated implementation of the Hindi language in the institute. Chief Scientist of the Institute, Dr Kamlesh Prasad, CSIR-CSMCRI, explained the Institute’s devotion towards Hindi and explained the usefulness of the official language in the promotion of the institute.
Chief Guest Prof. Sharma, in his address, said that it should be the duty of every Indian to speak Hindi language without any hesitation and to at least communicate in Hindi language with his people, even in foreign countries. Development of the country is possible only in one’s own language. Many countries of the world, like China, Japan, and Germany, have developed on the basis of their culture and education. India also deserves pride in the strength of its language Hindi. At last, the ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks. Director of the institute, Dr Kannan Srinivasan, praised the successful organisation of the programme.
