Prof. Anil Kumar Tripathi, IISER, highlighted how CSIR has touched the lives of Indians in the last eight decades, and institutions like CSIR-IMTECH have driven science with a purpose.
Prof. Kannan Srinivasan, Director of CSIR-CSMCRI, praised the dedication of the institute’s employees and called for CSIR to strive toward becoming a globally leading scientific institution.
Prof. RP Tiwari, Hon’ble VC, Central University of Punjab, complimented the CSIR and the institute on its glorious journey.
Dr Ram Vishwakarma, Distinguished Scientist, CSIR & Ex-Director, CSIR-IIIM, elaborated on CSIR’s establishment in 1942, even before India’s independence, and its foundational contributions to the nation’s drug research ecosystem.
Dr Geetha Vani Rayasam, Director, CSIR-NIScPR, reflected on CSIR’s 84-year legacy in promoting “Science for Society,” wherein she emphasised NIScPR’s pivotal role as a bridge between scientific knowledge and the public.
The MoU facilitates the sharing of SODAR system data across various locations for forecasting, validation, and research initiatives.
The developed technology is expected to promote resource conservation, reduce MLPs littering & pollution hazards, ultimately enabling waste to wealth realisation, building of circular economy framework and reducing carbon footprint.
“Innovations can change the course of a nation’s development, and it’s imperative that we protect and nurture them through robust Intellectual Property Rights,” said Dr Jitendra Kumar, Managing Director of BIRAC, DBT.
Dr Vinay K Nandicoori, Director, CCMB, outlined CSIR’s integrated approach to tackling complex healthcare challenges, particularly the need to better understand infectious diseases in diverse Indian contexts — both urban and rural.
