CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, organised the Second Alumni Meet on 14-15 December 2019 in the NEERI Auditorium.
With the coronavirus pandemic continuing its deadly run by infecting more than a million people and causing the death of more than 82,000 people across the world, the laboratories of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) intensified their efforts at combating the pandemic.
CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) has been contributing for several years towards the cleaning of the river Ganga.

The Hon’ble Minister said that such technology helps to reposition our existing heritage by adopting clear methods for achieving our national and global commitments towards the environment.

She informed that the Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy (STIP)-2020 was drafted toform anurtured ecosystem thatpromotes research andinnovation onthe part of both individuals and organisations.
Dr ML Khan, Senior Professor (HAG Grade), Department of Botany, expressed concern over degraded ecosystems, emphasising the need for long-term solutions through science and policy involving everyone.
