Dr Manoj K. Patel, Senior Scientist in Agrionics Division, CSIR-CSIO (Central Scientific Instruments Organisation), Chandigarh, has been selected for the prestigious CSIR Young Scientist Award 2020 in Engineering Sciences for his contributions in the field of "Electrostatic Spraying Technology for Societal and Industrial Applications".

Dr Patel is a researcher, innovator and technologist by profession and his research interests include agri-instrumentation, electrostatic spraying, dust mitigation and environment protection, robotics, automation & mechanization in agriculture, electrostatic processes applied to agricultural and industrial applications.  Dr Patel has various honours and awards to his credit. 

CSIR Young Scientist Awards are given annually in various fields including Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Physical Sciences (including instrumentation).
