Shri Jagdishbhai Vishwakarma, Hon'ble Minister for Cooperation, Salt Industry, Printing & Stationery, Protocol (All Independent Charge), Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Cottage, Khadi and Village Industries, Civil Aviation, Government of Gujarat visited CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSIR-CSMCRI), Bhavnagar, on 30 June 2023.

During the visit, he showed interest in the research being carried out at CSIR-CSMCRI. CSMCRI’s Senior Scientist and PRO, Dr Kanti Bhooshan Pandey informed that the Hon'ble Minister also discussed the R&D being carried out by the institute towards environmental pollution assessment & proper disposal of waste generated by the industries, and called upon the scientists of the institute to develop sustainable technologies on these subjects. He also inspected the water purifier mobile bus developed by the institute and understood its working. All the departmental heads of the institute were present on this occasion.
