CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMRI), Bhavnagar, has received the “Rajbhasha Kirti” Award in Region 'B' under the category of Board/Autonomous Body/Trust/Society for best implementation of Official Language Policy during the year 2022-23. This award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri Ajay Kumar Mishra in Pune on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on 14 September 2023. The Department of Official Language organised the 3rd All India Official Language Conference from 14 to 15 September 2023 in Pune.

According to Dr Kanti Bhooshan Pandey, In charge of official Language Implementation, CSMCRI, has received this national award for the third time in the last four years. Dedicating this national honour to the employees of CSIR-CSMCRI, Director Dr Kannan Srinivasan, Director, CSIR-CSMCRI, said that apart from research, the institute is committed to the maximum implementation of the Official Language Policy in its official works.
