CSIR successfully hosted its Model Super Store at Dilli Haat INA, New Delhi, from 24 to 26 September 2025, marking the 84th CSIR Foundation Day. The initiative showcased a wide range of societal and lifestyle products indigenously developed using CSIR technologies, now available to the public.
The CSIR Model Super Store was inaugurated on 24 September by Hon’ble Minister of Science & Technology and Vice President, CSIR, Dr Jitendra Singh.
The opening programme included the store inauguration, a guided visit to CSIR stalls, and a formal welcome address by Dr N Kalaiselvi. She said, “On CSIR’s 84th Foundation Day, we’re honoured to welcome guests from Vietnam. For the first time in CSIR’s history, we’re showcasing real-world applications and CSIR-developed products in a market setting.”
Attendees experienced a captivating showcase of CSIR’s innovative products, followed by the launch of new offerings and Transfer of Technology initiatives. A Technology Transfer (ToT) agreement on the “Process for Production of Decaffeinated Tea” developed by CSIR–NEIST, Jorhat, was executed in the gracious presence of Dr Jitendra Singh, Hon’ble Minister of S&T and Dr N Kalaiselvi, Director General, CSIR. The technology was successfully transferred to two industry partners — M/s Jalans Investments Private Limited, Dibrugarh, and M/s Gangwal Healthcare Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai.
A unique market exhibition featuring products from 13 CSIR labs brought cutting-edge science to the forefront, making CSIR's scientifically crafted solutions accessible to households nationwide. Dr G Mahesh, CSIR HQ, delivered the vote of thanks to all partners and attendees.
