Dr Suchandan Pal receiving the CEOT (94) award (Biennial)-2022

Dr Suchandan Pal, Chief Scientist, CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani, received the IETE-CEOT (94) Award (Biennial)-2022 for remarkable contributions in the field of opto-electronic materials, devices and technology developments, particularly for optical fibre/waveguide gratings, integrated-optic and nano-photonic devices and GaN-based blue, white and UV-LEDs. The award was presented to Dr Pal at the 65th Annual IETE (The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) Convention of the institute held on 25 September 2022 in Hyderabad.

The award consists of a medal, a citation and a cheque for Rs 10,000. Following the award, Dr Pal delivered a lecture on the work leading to the award on 20 December 2022 at CSIR-CEERI, organised by IETE-Pilani Centre.
